I’m sure everyone knows of Tina Knowles Lawson, right? Tina Knowles Lawson is the mother to the multi-talented, international superstar, Beyonce Knowles-Carter and sister, Solange Knowles. Beyonce is an exact replica of her mother so one can easily tell Beyonce is her off-spring.

For the July issue of Ebony, Mrs. Lawson graces the cover dressed beautifully in red, with gold embellishments (that song by Phil Collins, “Lady in Red” is my head…lol) and looking like the natural born DIVA that she is. Her eyes, natural-looking makeup, hair and the crown adds to her natural beauty. Oh, did I mention she is 61 years young? She looks absolutely amazing, I can clearly see why Mr. Lawson put a ring on it! Yasss!

Because I’m such a HUGE Beyonce fan, I have been following her career since her days with Destiny’s Child. I never met her in person, but she appears to be a very kind, soft, giving woman. You don’t hear or see crazy “Hollywood” stories about Beyonce and her life. In my opinion, she lives her life like we do: a very successful career, married to the love of her life, and a mother to a beautiful little girl. I know it’s difficult for her to live out her private life because of her celebrity status, but she is human just like we are. We don’t come out the womb knowing the values of life, we are taught and influenced by what we see – it’s grounded in us from our parents. I’m saying all of this to say this…Mrs. Tina raised a good woman – she really did.

Mrs. Lawson is a newlywed who is married to the handsome Richard Lawson. Please tell me you remember him. He has been in the acting game for so long…so many movie and TV credits to name.She did not allow her heartbreak from Matthew Knowles discourage her from finding love and being happy again. Life goes on and she clearly has done that. I’m sure her daughters are so proud of her.
