Way way back when I was a bite sized Cookie, [joke drums ] The Wiz was a huge deal because it starred A-List entertainers like Michael Jackson and Diana Ross and it featured bright colors, live music and huge hype everywhere. It was a funky new way of them retelling the childhood story “The Wizard of Oz”. From the previews and billboards, and the makeup and costumes being ABSOLUTELY AMAZING- I’m hugely hopeful that it lives up to the hype.
